The Nike KD18 men’s basketball shoes pay tribute to the original Nike Foamposite One Royal, which originated in the DMV area—a region renowned for both its talented basketball players and standout sneakers.
The large Air Zoom unit in the forefoot gives you extra speed for explosive takeoffs, whether you’re running at full speed or launching from a standstill. The latest version of Cushlon foam adds a soft, comfortable feel and lasting freshness throughout the game. The bottom layer of the upper features Zoom Strobel cushioning in the heel, giving you a springy bounce with every step, while a firm plastic plate directly beneath your foot follows its movement. Together with the forefoot Air Zoom unit, it gives you an explosive first step, support, and stability. A durable plastic cage on both sides of your foot also keeps it firmly in place.
